The company

The East Med company

For more than 30 years, East Med’s founding partners have designed and built mixed-use urban projects: shops, homes, offices, hotels and public spaces shaped by their surroundings. In Egypt, we bring this experience to new districts, with close attention to local culture, the history of each site and the way people live today.

Project owner and manager

We bring together and coordinate the project teams, from the first sketches to final delivery.

Hybrid real estate

Our projects combine housing, sports and education centres and retail.

A strategy for each site

We define the right programme for each site and for the people who will use it.

Specialist partners

Specialist operators join us from the design stage, so that every space fits its use.

Lasting value

Our architectural and environmental choices are made to last.

Beyond delivery

With our partners, we take part in marketing, rental management and asset management.

The concept

An innovative concept

Many services are moving online, yet daily life still needs real places. Our concept brings sport, education, health, culture, shops and restaurants close to homes and offices. These services work together, so residents and visitors find a complete offer and the site stays active all year round.

New districts on the edge of the city

Demand is strong for premium compounds offering the services residents rely on: hospitals, hotels, shopping centres, offices, schools and universities.

Premium families

They expect a high standard of living, with leisure and an international education for their children.

Too few international schools

The Egyptian government has made education a national priority. Families look for international schools with high academic standards, three languages and quality facilities. In the new districts, supply remains far below demand.

International school

An educative, sporting and international programme

Academic success and human values, in Arabic, French and English, from kindergarten to high school. The curriculum and accreditation are chosen for each project with our education partners.

15levels, from kindergarten to high school
4–5classes per level
1,500–2,000pupils per school
3languages: Arabic, French, English

Option 1

French curriculum

Bilingual French school aiming for accreditation by the AEFE, the agency for French education abroad. Students can prepare the French baccalaureate with the International Option (OIB).

Option 2

Canadian curriculum

Canadian school abroad following a provincial curriculum, accredited by that province. Graduates receive a Canadian high school diploma, taught in English and French.

Option 3

International school

Three languages in every option

Arabic, French and English are taught from kindergarten. Students leave school truly trilingual, with recognised language certificates such as TOEFL and TOEIC.
